Mariah Carey will begin her Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time tour on the 6th of November, 2024, to mark the 30th year since the release of her Merry Christmas album. It shall conclude the following December 17th. The tour will take place in 20 cities across the United States, including New York, Washington, Houston, and Hollywood to name but a few.

The Celebration of Mimi Tour

Tour Dates: January 31, 2025-February 15, 2025

Location: Dolby Live in Las Vegas, Nevada (Google Maps)

The Celebration of Mimi is Mariah Carey’s fifth live concert residency show which is still ongoing at the Dolby Live located in the Las Vegas Valley in Nevada. The residency marks the nineteenth anniversary of Carey’s tenth studio album, The Emancipation of Mimi released in 2005. The initial plan was to perform on eight dates but due to the high demand for more shows, two more legs of shows were added on April 11 and July 22 respectively. Her residency started on 12th April 2024 and is expected to conclude on 15th February 2025 for the third leg of the show which comprises 24 performances in total. There are 8 shows in this third and final leg of the shows.

About Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey, legendary singer and songwriter, record producer, and actress was born on the 27th of March 1969 in Huntington, New York. Carey has become a music legend as a singer with the ability of five-octave vocal range and a whistle register. Especially during the Christmas season. Dating back from her first performance in 1990, she has been doing her tour everywhere around the world, including Mariah Carey Chicago Tour and Mariah Carey Vegas Tour.

Early Life and Upbringing

Mariah Carey’s mother Patricia Hickey is an opera singer and a vocal coach with an Irish background while the father Alfred Roy Carey is of African-American and Afro-Venezuelan origin and was an aeronautical engineer. Her multicultural background had a huge impact on her identity and experiences in her childhood. Carey’s parents separated when she was three years of age and she was raised by her mother.

Mariah began displaying her musical talent at a very tender age. She was singing at the age of three and she started taking vocal lessons from her mother at age four. Although she was exposed to racism and poverty, her love for music remained strong. She was very interested in art during her school years and started writing poetry and lyrics in high school.

The Adventures of Mimi tour that was held in 2006 is considered to be one of the most successful tours of Mariah Carey. Titled after her nickname “Mimi”, the tour was in promotion of her album The Emancipation of Mimi which was a critical success.
