Linkin Park Touring History
The past five years of touring for Linkin Park have been filled with loss and a five-year break. The band’s last major tour was the “One More Light World Tour” in 2017, which was sadly called off in the middle of the tour by the sudden death of the lead singer, Chester Bennington.
2017: One More Light World Tour
The “One More Light World Tour” started on May 6, 2017, for the promotion of their seventh studio album “One More Light”. Unfortunately, this tour was cut short on July 20, 2017, due to the death of Chester Bennington. The other dates were then called off. Some highlights from this tour were:
Concerts at major festivals such as Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany
A headlining performance at the O2 Arena in London
New songs mixed with old favorites to create fresh setlists
2018-2023: Hiatus
After Bennington’s death, Linkin Park remained inactive for quite some time. They also did not play live concerts or go on tour during this time. Instead, individual members engaged in different solo and group works as well as side projects.
2024: From Zero World Tour
Linkin Park came back on stage after a break of seven years with the “From Zero World Tour” in 2024. This tour is a new beginning for this band as they bring Emily Armstrong as a co-vocalist and Colin Brittain as the drummer. It will be a six-arena tour across the world, with performances beginning on September 11, 2024, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
2025 and Beyond
For the future up to 2025, Linkin Park has mentioned plans for even “more extensive touring”. Mike Shinoda has stated that the band will be “touring heavily in 2025”. Although the exact dates and venues have not been confirmed, the fans expect a more extensive world tour after the 2024 comeback shows. This new tour may contain new cities and maybe some tracks from the From Zero album, and thus, the band can get back to the audience on the international level.
