Alejandro Fernández is back on the road in 2026 with the ongoing De Rey a Rey World Tour, his powerful and deeply personal tribute to his late father Vicente Fernández — the Mexican legend known as "El Rey de la Música Ranchera." The tour, which began in 2024 and was extended through 2026 following massive demand, has become one of the most emotionally resonant concert experiences in Latin music.
The 2026 extension was officially announced in November 2025, adding seven new US dates across California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, Texas, and Arizona — all promoted by Live Nation and managed by Seitrack. Tickets went on sale through Ticketmaster on November 21, 2025.
Before the tour started, four-time Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Fernández said about the tour: "I was born with two blessings. First, being born Mexican, and second, being born a Fernández. This tribute is not about me; it's about Mexico, it's about Vicente Fernández, in my voice and in all of our voices as we sing together the songs that have become a part of our common heritage."
What makes the 2026 leg truly special is the addition of Camila Fernández — Alejandro's daughter and Vicente's granddaughter — as the opening act for the US leg. This transforms the concert into a remarkable three-generation family event, with Camila performing her own repertoire before Alejandro takes the stage to honor her grandfather. It's an experience unlike anything else in live music right now.

About Vicente Fernández
The late father of Alejandro Fernández, Vicente Fernández was a towering figure in Mariachi and ranchera music — a singer, actor, and filmmaker who recorded over 50 albums and sold more than 50 million records worldwide. Nicknamed "El Rey de la Música Ranchera" and affectionately known as "Chente," he began singing for tips as a young man before becoming Mexico's defining musical voice.
Vicente Fernández won four Grammy Awards and nine Latin Grammy Awards, and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He retired from singing in 2016 and passed away at the age of 81 in December 2021.
Rolling Stone named him the greatest Mexican singer of all time. One of his most iconic songs is "No Me Sé Rajar," which Alejandro re-released with his own cover version to pay tribute to his father:

About Alejandro Fernández
Alejandro Fernández is a Mexican singer born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, who has sold over 20 million records worldwide. The son of the legendary Vicente Fernández, Alejandro has built a towering career in his own right — earning the nickname "El Potrillo" (The Colt) and becoming one of the best-selling Latin music artists of his generation.
He has won four Latin Grammy Awards and, like his father, has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His top albums include Alejandro Fernández, Entre Tus Brazos, and Hecho en México, while signature hits include "El Mismo Sol," "Estuve," and "Se Me Va la Voz."
The De Rey a Rey tour represents arguably the most personal work of Alejandro's career — a son paying tribute to a father, a legend honoring a legend.
Alejandro Fernández's Family
Alejandro Fernández is reportedly currently in a relationship with Karla Laveaga. He was previously married to América Guinart, with whom he had three children: Alejandro Jr. and twin daughters América and Camila. He also has two children, Emiliano and Valentina, with Colombian model Ximena Díaz.
His daughter Camila Fernández opens for him on the 2026 US tour leg, making each De Rey a Rey show a true Fernández family celebration spanning three generations.
